Another control yoke u-joint question/problem

In my previous thread ( Yoke U-joint question.... ), I was having trouble with the taper pins. Through the generosity of one of our members, I got my hands on the tools needed. Taper pins are out now, but the u-joints do not want to come off the shafts. I can get them to rotate on the shaft (with a lot of effort) but they do not want to slide off. Any tips/tricks/suggestions from anyone who has done this before?
