National Geographic is airing a short series on piloting aircraft in Alaska. I happened to see a couple of episodes and they were interesting, right in the cockpit of General aviation aircraft with experienced Alaskan pilots. Bush flying in a supercub, in a Lear jet for emergency medical transport, helicoptering a team of geologists into the back country, first solo cross country for a new pilot and what looked like a cessna caravan used for transport.... all of the while dealing with the wx, including getting iced up. Well worth watching.
