So has anyone ever done a poker run in an airplane? We used to do them on our motorcycles and in boats. I thought it might be a fun way to do some fun flying and ultimately the top two or three might be able to get back some of their expense or actually make a little money on the day. Basically I was thinking choose an airport for everyone to meet at and register. Everyone pays a nominal entry fee to play. (Covers the prizes) They will be given a list of 5 or 6 airports to fly in to. They will land and get a playing card at each stop. They would have a time limit to complete the flight and meet at the final airport to check in. Then once everyone is in and the time limit expires, everyone plays their best poker hand from the cards they were given. The first, second and possibly third place hands win prize money. Anyone ever done anything like this and would anyone be interested in doing one? They often are used for fundraisers, but if not the prize money just gets paid back to the winners after expenses are covered.
