Hi Folks,

Recently I received a nice letter, looking very official, from "National Aviation Center" bringing to my attention that "public records indicate the the Certificate of Registration for the aircraft shown above is SET TO EXPIRE..." etc... the N-number of one my aircrafts (a glider in this case) is shown on top of the letter. Later they suggest I renew my FAA Certificate of Registration through [their] new private online application portal at www.nationalaviationcenter.us or via phone...blah blah blah etc...

So until the mention of "private" I was under the impression it was an official letter, but it looked weird, same fonts and style as a letter from the FAA but not quite. Either way, I went to check and indeed my glider paperwork is due in October 2019. The letter comes clean at the end and mention there is no obligaiton to use their service, so now I am forgiving them for pretenting to sound and look official, and I am wondering, geeh why not, maybe I'll use them to renew and I am done with this, no worries.

But first I wanted to check with you guys if anybody here has used them, if they are legit?

Thanks - safe flights!
