As part of the annual, I'm installing a new air filter, and in the process, the wires on the landing light had bad terminal ends and the light fell off and broke with the wire broke at the terminals.. so now replacing the wiring for the light, and purchased a Whelen Parmetheus Plus LED light.

I do not have a good photo of the parts, will get that tonight and add.. but the front cover that holds the air filter, (bracket type) and the landing light is an aluminum part, with a "bucket" riveted to it to hold the PAR36 light.

The Whelen light will not fit into the bucket like the old glass light.. so what say the experts.. remove the bucket and make up a mount??... remove the bucket and "glue" the light to the air filter cover??. I would see a machined ring with a flange that the light mounts into that is riveted in place of the "bucket". The light then has a cover that goes over it to hold it in place..

The Bracket air filter is sure a sticky mess, and I will be changing to another type of filter...
