1. I normally keep my plane hangared but that is not always possible on overnight trips. I want to buy a set of tie-down ropes to keep in the airplane. I have a ton of ratchet straps and “motorcycle” pull straps but I do not like the idea of an open hook on the wing points. I read through old threads here and it seems 1/2” double braided nylon rope got a lot of votes. I am leaning that direction but what about length? How long should they be?

2. What do guys use for a holder/bin for extra oil, ropes, cleaning supplies etc on longer trips?

If it matters, the plane is a 1974 Archer.
