Shortly after the Pilgrims landed I completed the rebuild of N4221M.
A PA-12.
With "Irish Linen" of course.
Another pilot asked if I was interested in a ride in his aircraft.
Minutes later we were over Lake Ontario & looking UP at the folks on the shore.
I believe the ASI read about 120 MPH.
The aircraft was a Culver V.
It was of plywood construction with retractable gear & a 2 position prop & an injected 85 hp TCM.
The owner asked if I was interested in a swap.
Would YOU take the deal?
The "V" ( is it Vee or 5 ?) was a creation of Art Mooney.
In somewhat accurate (?) BIBLICAL terms ;the Dart begat the Culver Cadet which begat the Culver V which begat the
Mooney Mite ( aka Wee Scotsman ) which begat the Mooney M-20 & then on to the rest of the Mooney line.
Corrections? Additions?
Who would take the deal?
