I read the NPR article. I hope you're upgrading and not getting out of aircraft ownership.

It's cool to see what another 73 Cherokee 140/160 looks like inside and out as I have essentially the same plane. Good luck on the sale.

Thanks for the kind words.

No, I'm not getting out of flying. My family has become heavy enough that Sally doesn't have enough useful load for our summer adventures where we are traveling for a week or two at a time. So I'm getting something with a higher useful load. But we've owned her over 17 years and I'll be sad to see her go. She's never let me down.

So I've got to ask about the inclinometer above the transponder.
Ha ha, I forget that it's there and I keep a number of those around. I am always out to grab videos to demonstrate various aerodynamic concepts and that is left there from an experiment I was running. I give safety talks for AOPA and FAA as well as writing articles on occasion for various aviation magazines.

Well, it looks as if Sally is sold. Thanks to all for the abundance of interest. It's bittersweet but she's going to some very nice people. :)

Very nice looking Cherokee 140/160 and priced right I thought and looks to be in very good condition, best wishes in selling her and finding a bigger plane for your family too.
