    PA32 Lance Main Gear Axle

Does anybody know the part number for the Main Gear Axle on a Piper Lance? I checked the parts manual and all I can find is the bearing and the full fork assembly. I’m looking for just the axle. Any leads?

    Oil Analysis

Had this comment from Blackstone once after a previously high copper reading. Might pertain here. “Copper dropped to a good 14 ppm this time, so we can give brass/bronze wear the all-clear. We mentioned before that it could have just been the result of harmless chemical reaction, if the oil...

    Turbo Blanket

I don’t have a source for you but I would suggest you avoid Sky Geek if at all possible. I had a paint order with them that had issues and their customer service was terrible. They didn’t seem to care about keeping my business.

Newest fun issue, now gear extension issue

You know, the only thing that’s bugging me here is if the switch is bad, why didn’t your pump just pull the gear back up after the emergency extension? Did you pull the pump breaker? If the system thought the switch was up, then engaging the emergency extension would drop the gear but it would...

Newest fun issue, now gear extension issue

I suspect your gear selector switch. Any other issue would at least cause the in transit light to illuminate.

    Time to clean injectors?

This is a turbo charged aircraft. One screen at the fuel servo is all there is to clean.

    Time to clean injectors?

Does the G2 have the data saved on a card like my G4? If so I would upload the data to Savvy and post a link here. Seeing the data correlated like that can really help pick out the issue.

    Century IIIB Troubleshooting

thanks. That’s helps. It sounds like the roll portion of the AP is working correctly. And when you have it in heading mode with the heading bug active that works? If that’s true then I would suspect all the Century functions are working. To ground check the GPSS part, maybe you can program a...

    Century IIIB Troubleshooting

A video of the AP in action would be infinitely valuable. Your description of the operation on the ground makes it sound like everything is working. Was your G5 in GPSS mode when you engaged the AP? If not, the GAD29 is going to send the heading bug info to the AP, which could make it appear to...

Best home sim for PA32 Turbo Lance

Good catch! The best thing about the sim! The Caranado PA32 can be bought on their website and then added to Xplane. https://www.carenado.com/sitecarenado/product/pa32r-301-saratoga-sp-xplane/

Best home sim for PA32 Turbo Lance

I use xPlane with the Carenado Saratoga. I’m using it for my IFR training. I don’t think you’re ever going to get a good setup for getting the actual feel of the plane, so the differences between the Saratoga and the Turbo Lance aren’t that important. The sim is used for more procedural type...

Flying Arrow II at gross weight

Are you sure Redding was the place of departure for the accident you’re referencing? Redding is a sea level airport with 5000’ and 7000’ runway. Even on a hot day in Redding, gross weight, the book takeoff distance in the Lance is 2500’. If you could provide a link to the report I would really...

Debating on buying a Saratoga TC

The CG on our Lance is far enough forward that we can load everybody and everything, latch the rear door, and then climb into the pilot seat. So you can get everybody settled before you even get in the plane.

Fuel flow/ Manifold pressure gauge 78 PA32RT-300T turbo Lance

Tim, Thanks for the offer. I have an as removed gauge from eBay that I might be able to use. The description I just got from the fuel servo overhauler is that the line should be hooked up with no fuel in it. When fuel pressure builds it will compress the air in the line and move the bellow. So...

Fuel flow/ Manifold pressure gauge 78 PA32RT-300T turbo Lance

Ok, this post is interesting because I'm having some issues with the gauge. I called Airparts Lockhaven and was told that my issue is likely that somebody put fuel in the line when there shouldn't be and messed up the gauge. My question now is, how does the gauge get pressure if there's no fuel...
