How long has your battery lasted?
My current battery is at the 10yr mark, last battery also lasted 10yrs and I live in Alaska and don't heat my plane, but I use a BatteryMinder to maintain it.- wiley_tom

GARMIN 430W SLOW TO AQUIRE SATELLITES
More likely an antenna problem. 430's don't like to acquire when moving, so be certain you're station while it's acquiring. Check your connections to the antenna, especially look for water leaks around the antenna that may be getting into the connector. -
Surefly Magnetos 100LL only
I looked and couldn't see any restrictions in the ICA. Where di you see that it's restricted to 100LL? -
Cherokee 180 RPM questions...
When I installed the SureFly in place of my left Magneto, I saw increased that put my over redline, so I added 1 degree to my pitch, now I climb faster and added about 2 knots in cruise. -

Surefly start procedure
My start procedures changes in that I no longer count the blades as they pass by, muttering come on baby, come on, you can do it!. It's starts immediately, just like my car, climbs better and I started red lining so I had to add a degree of pitch to my prop. Starts better, climbs better...- wiley_tom

I just bought the Thermo-Tec, the adhesive didn't hold it at all, so I used a high-temp epoxy. We'll soon see how it does. -

Intermittent static when transmitting from my radio's
Reb is absolutely right about checking the isolation washers on the Mic jacks. Since you're hearing it, that's a big help and allows to isolate where it might be coming from. Try plugging and unplugging the different jacks on the aircraft and if you have a hand mic to see if any of them are... -
Surefly ignition wiring question
You're going to have a hotter spark = less fouling with the SufeFly, so placing it on the bottoms plugs helps keep those plugs from fouling. I did this and it has worked well for me. 2nd the use of fine wire plugs, switched to them decades ago and it eliminated most fouling problems and they...- wiley_tom

Transponder alt wrong.
When they installed the GTX 375, did you keep your altitude encoder or did you also install the Garmin Altitude Encoder - GAE 12? Most transponders have a screen that displays the altitude they've given from the encoder. I would check this against your altimeter and verify that it's linear and... -

Looking for PIREPs on GE 327 LED Bulbs
I removed my GE 327 when the LED first became available over 12yrs ago, I would never switch back. Same bulbs still installed, zero failures, dimming works fine. Couldn't tell you which brand they were.- wiley_tom

Garmin 430W/530W
They will end the cash cow, because they have very few displays left available. Like the KX155, GX60 and many others, it's the loss of replacement displays that brings their support to an end. Personally would not recommend a 430/530 anymore.
