    Control lock?

It does, thanks so much. Next time you're at the airport, would you please take a picture and forward it? Thanks again!

    Control lock?

Hi, my Cherokee 6 C has the same ring and with a hole. I haven't been able to find the control lock for sale. Would you please send a picture and/or dimensions? Thanks!

Weight and Balance for a Cherokee 6/300 PA32-300

Here's another xlsx file that I modified from several sources. You should be able to adapt it for your airplane.

Changing from Push pull throttle Knob on PA-28-235, to a T Handle Throttle . Has anyone done this ? Any 337s out there ? Any tips or Suggestions ?

Before you commit to a change, there have been many times I wish I had the vernier type mixture control (which I assume you currently have) for making fine mixture adjustments. My 1970 model PA-32-300 mixture by comparison, is a little "imprecise", even with a properly adjusted new cable.

Do aviation CO detectors have to meet a UL standard?

For more info on the Guardian Sensors, we installed a Guardian Aero 452R at the same time we installed a JPI EDM-900. According to the Guardian Instructions for Continued Airworthiness: " RECOMMENDED OVERHAUL PERIODS To maintain airworthiness status of the Model 452 Carbon Monoxide Detector...

    RNAV/GPS approaches at private airports

I'm guessing in most cases, costs would keep preclude most private airfields. From Azpilot's AOPA link: Establishing an Instrument Approach "Below are some 2016 example costs for procedure development and maintenance: Development of RNAV IFP with one line of minima: $10,000 Average annual...

    Control lock

I realize this post is from years ago, but if you still have this airplane and control lock, would you please provide some details like material, thickness and size of the control lock? I know the red flag is designed to cover the ignition switch so I might have to adapt it, but I'd like a...

    Stratux gps cuts out

I actually had to reflash twice before I got mine to work. This was after years of successful use. Additionally, I keep mine on the glare shield and occasionally had overheating issues on a hot sunny day, so I went with a different case with a fan, and had to switch to a external antenna...

    Propeller Overhaul.

Thanks for your input! It's in a hangar and we don't have any symptoms you mentioned. I'm getting the sense that most owners are not overhauling just because of the TBO (which is what I was hoping for). Thanks again.

    Propeller Overhaul.

Ok, so this is an old threat, but my question seems to fit. There are a lot of discussions about the engine TBOs online, but what about the prop? We have a Hartzell HC-C2YK-1BF on our PA32-300, and the prop and governor were overhauled 6 years and 600 hours ago. According to Hartzell (see...

    Engine monitor worth it?

I agree that you will use what info you have to successfully complete the flight. I'm not worried about the inflight issue if the EDM-900/930 fails. It certainly isn't like losing an attitude indicator in IMC. However, I believe the possible issue is, people think that having the old analog...

    Engine monitor worth it?

Not sure redundant is the right term. The way I understand it, there is only one primary source. If you have a 900/930 and keep the analog gages, but make the 900/930 primary, if the 900/930 has a problem, the old gages are not a legal substitute. We went with the 900 and removed all the old...

    Placards for PA-32 Cherokee Six

Curious, I have a 1969 PA-32-300, and it doesn't list those placards as required in the POH, Limitations Section. There are a couple of companies that will do custom placards if you know what is on the placards.

To Keep, Sell or Add Partners

If you decide the partnership track, you might consider an LLC if not already using one. With an LLC you can change partners without having to change ownership with the FAA.

    Fuel Senders

For me the point 5Tango was making is that if you are considering an engine monitor upgrade in the future, like a JPI EDM 900 for example, I'd recommend the CiES now. We kept the old senders when we upgraded to the EDM900 and did not get the best results.

    1977 Cherokee Pathfinder

I also have an enlarged laminated chart in the pilot side pouch, but I also took a picture so it's easy to access on the touch pad.

    Suction Mount

I have 2 suction mounts that work well for me, one for my phone on the pilot side, and one Ram suction mount for my iPad on the copilots side. I remove the iPad Ram mount when my partners fly the airplane. Merrill, how have you cleaned the suction cups, I use an alcohol based cleaner.

    8-inch tablet

That's another discussion. Most tablets discussed are on the android platform, not Microsoft.
