    IFD 440 firmware update

I have installed many many IFD's, and the failure rate is, I would say, on par with the other brands out in the field.

    Sun-N-Fun and Dynon Avionics

You would retain the trim motor and the Dynon would control it.

    Sun-N-Fun and Dynon Avionics

If you have electric trim of any flavor, the Dynon can drive it. We have now installed auto trim in 5 planes that had electric trim already installed. Electric trim is nice, but a huge majority of single engine GA planes have always flown with manual trim only. You typically trim for takeoff &...

    Sun-N-Fun and Dynon Avionics

They definitely work as well as you hear they do. I have it in my 172 and it's amazing. I have installed dozens in V35's, A36's, 182's, 172's and Senecas and they are as good as anything you will fly anywhere.

    Sun-N-Fun and Dynon Avionics

I have been as much as I can. I have been telling them that the PA32's and PA28's need to be next in line. There are just too many of them out there to ignore. There is no official word, and I have no inside information, but I would be very surprised if the next plane after the Debonair is not...

    Sun-N-Fun and Dynon Avionics

The Sun-N-Fun fly-in is next week, Tuesday through Sunday. I will be spending most of the week at the Dynon Avionics booth in southwest corner of Hangar B. Please feel free to stop by for a demo of the Dynon equipment and a quote on a panel upgrade.

Landing Height System is now FAA Certified for all Pipers

If people don't have a friend who can follow them down to take them home, we have had some customers rent a car to drive home if it's in the nearby SE US. Most get airline tickets out of Orlando, Tampa or Gainesville. We often, but not always, can help with a ride to and/or from the airport...

Landing Height System is now FAA Certified for all Pipers

I have the Holy Micro unit in stock. It can be hard wired to the audio panel, or it can be connected via Bluetooth. I put one in my 172 on Saturday in about 45 minutes, including cutting the hole in the access panel, but I already had power in the wing and just connected to the bluetooth on the...

For Sale Aspen EFD1000 w/ ACU and RSM

The RSM is the remote sensor module, and I think it has a GPS in it. Aspen would be the people to ask about compatibility as a second screen.

Paint Shop Reviews and Recommendations - Ace Aircraft

I know it's not a Piper, but since people are showing paint jobs, I couldn't help myself. This is my RV-10 just finished in the paint shop. PPG Base/Clear.

    For Sale GTX330ES GNC255A

It can use any encoder, but it is not included. I have a bunch of used encoders, though. The antenna is not included. It uses whatever antenna your plane already has.

The shorter one on top looks like a Loran antenna.

    Opinions on panel layout

I like the second one, I think. Where is your Turn Coordinator? You could also move your vertical speed to the left of the bottom AV30 and put your CDI or auto pilot below the altimeter.

Upgrading PA-28 to full glass panel. New panel design layout options

The Dynon will display the same nav signal on both screens. You can’t separate them. People use a second Com regularly for monitoring ATIS. Etc, but the nav has nothing to do with this. I think you will be more than happy with an Avidyne and a Dynon Com. I see no need for a second Nav radio. You...

    Amount of Fuel at Tabs?

Make sure you drain it from the engine area. That way the unusable fuel remains in the tank at zero.
