    uAvionix AV-30 Certified!

Cap is right on regarding the install. This is where you save $$ if you want some glass in your panel, an A&P can do the install. The A&P I work with has done a few experimental AV-30's and multiple AV-20's, it is really a straightforward install. My rep at Uavionix said they will be shipping...

Thinking hard on a Twin Comanche

Thanks. I own and fly a C310R with the IO-550 conversion. I never looked at the Twin Comanche due to cabin size and load needed for my normal profile. Just curious, I’m burning about 25 total at 188kts LOP. Just saw the numbers and see the the Twinki should be looked at by those in the...

AeroLED Pulsar NSP vs Whelen Orion 600 (and Tail light)

I would definitely go with the Aero LED's. I say that being a vendor for both and having the Whelen Orions on my personal plane. The Whelen's are good quality, look cool and produce zero radio interference. The Aero LED's are just BRIGHTER! I recently sold a pair to my buddy who installed...

    X-Country advice needed!

I think this time of year convection and low fog will be the biggest concern. Just plan your fuel so you have enough if the fog is widespread or the convection is spread over a long line. Since you are flexible with your time there will usually be good weather the day after a bad weather day.

    X-Country advice needed!

Hi - I have been doing basically this same trip in my Cessna 310R every 10 days, Vegas to Tampa - Tampa to Vegas. Your route seems pretty good Tallahassee - DFW then direct as possible. Couple of notes: Gas is pretty cheap now which is nice for a trip like this Leave as early as possible as...

    uAvionix (Aerovonics) AV-30 Certified - $1,995

Shane Woodson the director of sales at Uavionix sent me an email yesterday and said late March early April. History repeats itself with these late approvals. It’s worth the wait for me too. I have 20 on pre order and they are all spoken for, send me an email if you would like to get on the...

    uAvionix (Aerovonics) AV-30 Certified - $1,995

Hello - I am not an A&P / IA, its best to pose this question to the maintenance tech who will be signing your logs. From my private pilot, aircraft owner perspective I do think this qualifies and if I didn't have space in the panel I would replace my TC with an AV-30. I used AC91-75 to put a...

    uAvionix (Aerovonics) AV-30 Certified - $1,995

As many people have noted I don't think this is a direct competitor to the G5. How I am going to use it is a backup AI for my Aspen since the AV-30 will still give usable attitude info in the event of a pitot static blockage. The other plane with a Century III it will be an awesome replacement...

The deadline is quickly approaching, if you haven't equipped yet this is the fastest and least expensive option to keep you flying in controlled airspace after Jan 1. Garmin GTX327 NEW in Box - $950 OBO

Hello - This is a new never installed Garmin GTX327 Mode C transponder. It is in the original box with the tray, all connectors and manuals. This model can not be upgraded to ADSB out but is solid state with some nice timers. It will make a great transponder for someone who has a GDL-82...

    uAvionix (Aerovonics) AV-30 Certified - $1,995

uAvioinix informed me that approval is expected early 2020 (Caution FAA timelines) and they are taking pre orders for the AV-30. I have already ordered one for my aircraft and a few for local customers and I am really excited to install and sell these! The AV-30 embodies my mission to bring new...

Engine monitor suggestion/opinion for normally aspirated Saratoga

I had a JPI 830 in my last plane, now a Jpi 790 in my twin. I prefer the single large screen. Since then new rebate has started (and over the last 2 years) I have sold a lot of EDM900’s, it seems to be the most popular choice. Let me know if you have any specific questions on features or the...
