Default Pilots side window scoop... kool scoop aztec

Anyone know if the kool scoop for the pilots side window works on an Aztec ? Not sure what they consider a thick window frame

I think they mean there is no frame around the little opening window itself. If yours looks like the picture, it should be fine.

The scoop will not work, as-is, over the Aztec aluminum framed vent window, the frame is too tall and too wide.

Not well. There is not enough propwash to push air into the cabin.

I hate having to prop the door open it puts undo stress on the hinges and door frame...

I've used one on my 1979 F for several years with good success. Sadly, I now can't recall if I had to modify it to clear the frame or not, but will post a picture the next time I get to the plane.
I also have one on my Archer III which, frankly, does work better due to prop position and flow .. but the Aztec's works well enough to be a significant help on hot days.

I don't know enough to comment about window replacement. I think mine is original tho.
I do want to caution that, while I use and like the scoop, it doesn't provide the same flow as expected with a single engine model. Guess I feel that on a hot day I'm happy to have any help!!

The frameless window is an STC, you should have a 337 somewhere for that. Diamond Aire has the STC, and I think LP Aero may have one too.
